The feature to the left of the cliffs is called The Castle. The trail, which snaked up and down and around the inclines of the reef, culminated at a jumble of rocks called the Navajo Knobs. The Knobs can be seen along the ridgeline in the right-side distance. thedaver > Strike Valley - looking south from Strike Valley Overlook. This peculiar feature of Capital Reef runs paralell to the the inclined layers of Capital Reef. Just on the other side of the central ridge down in the valley is Notom Road.

thedaver > Taken along Burr Trail Road. Near the center of the photo is Peek-a-boo arch. Peeking just over the ridge on the right are the Henry Mountains. The massive rock of Navajo Sandstone to the left of Peek-a-boo is called a Hogback, I believe. At the foot of the Hogback and Peek-a-boo, leading north (left) is the 4WD road leading to Upper Muley Twist trail.
